Wil Wheaton has joined the Bicycle brand as their first global board game ambassador. Wheaton will support the company’s “Games By Bicycle” line.
Bicycle entered the board and card game market last year during Gen Con with the launch of Tattoo Stories and Shuffle Grand Prix. They have since launched strategy games Exchange and The Alpha. July releases will include adult party games The Sweet & Spicy along with Nailed It.
Wheaton, who appeared on Star Trek: The Next Generation and The Big Bang Theory, was the creator, producer, and host of the web series Tabletop. He will lead the company’s #EveryonesGotGame campaign.
“I am thrilled to be partnering with Bicycle to bring this collection of party and light strategy games to the world. These are exactly the games I would have chosen for Tabletop: accessible, uncomplicated, and so much fun to play,” Wheaton said.
“We know that cards and games can break the ice, help you get to know people even better, and can turn get-togethers into something epic. We are working with Wil to inspire more people to host game nights,” said Kyle Nicholson, Brand Manager at Bicycle’s parent company, The United States Playing Card Company, which is part of the Cartamundi Group.
