Tabletop Wire is for adults choosing a game to share across the table. We focus on hobby board games, starting with evenings for two, while also covering useful paths into small-group play. Our guides aim to answer practical questions: Can two people play this edition? How do you get started? What should you check before choosing a set?
What you will find here
We publish rules and equipment guides, a game-night introduction, and free browser versions of Mahjong Solitaire and Backgammon. Mahjong Solitaire is a solo tile-matching game; it is not the same as multiplayer Mahjong. Our physical-game guides are currently based on identified sources. Documented playtime, setup, and table-space measurements are planned, but no physical-game measurement series or hands-on purchase review has been published yet. The industry archive
Tabletop Wire also retains industry reporting from 2018–2020. It covers companies, conventions, and product announcements as they were reported at the time. Andrew Long signed the 2019 notice about ending the original publication’s daily updates. That historical account belongs to its author. It does not describe the experience or staffing of today’s guide operation. Archive posts retain their original dates and should not be read as current business or product information.
Editorial attribution
“Tabletop Wire Editorial” is a shared publishing label, not a named reviewer, a panel of experts, or a claim that the original archive reporting has been repeated. We identify sources, editions, and meaningful updates in individual guides. We do not attribute a physical play session to the editorial label without a documented session.
