Cards Against Humanity workers announced their intent to unionize yesterday having sent a letter to management demanding voluntary recognition. The group will join The Chicago and Midwest Joint Board, Workers United.
The effort comes after allegations of a toxic workplace involving racist and sexist behavior. Co-owner Max Temkin was forced out of the company after a Polygon article outlined the issues after speaking with current and former employees.
In response, the company Tweeted today that they intend to recognize the union.
We’re in. We intend to voluntarily recognize this union. https://t.co/AJBwjB36O8— CardsAgainstHumanity (@CAH) July 1, 2020
