UK Games Expo Cancels August Event

UK Games Expo have cancelled their August event, which was moved from the original date in May due to concerns from the pandemic. The show directors sited government directives, closure of large venues, and the probable duration of the infection, for the cancellation.

“We consider that a cancellation at this stage maximises the chances to both protect the health and well-being of all our attendees but also the financial viability of our exhibitors and the UK Games Expo itself and gives the best opportunity for attendees to recover any secondary costs. This allows us the best opportunity to hold a successful show in 2021,” the show stated in a release.

Visitors and exhibitors have the option of a full refund or rolling ticket and stand fees into 2021.

UK Games Expo has grown steadily over the last couple of years, and has become a vital part of the European game trade.
