John Stephens has resigned from the The Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) Retail Division Board of Directors, where he served for three years.
Stephens, who runs Total Escape Games near Devner, Colorado, announced the resignation, which takes effect today, on a membership only Facebook group.
Stephens said this was his final year, but that his situation is changing in the industry and thought it best to leave the Board.
“Over the next few days my new role in the industry will become clear, and why I feel it is important that I step out of my role as a member of the Retail Division Board, but know that I do this with nothing but good will towards GAMA, towards the leadership of its board, and its phenomenal Executive Director and his team of hard-working professionals. I greatly look forward to what the future holds under the steady of reins of Mr. Stacy and the team he has assembled,” Stephens said.
