HeidelBÄR Games have left Asmodee and will become an independent company. The German game studio was formed in 2017 when Heidelberger Spieleverlag merged with Asmodee Germany.
The company said the former studio manager, Heiko Eller-Bilz, would assume ownership. The studio will be headquartered in Miltenberg.
“We want to continue to work on our core goal: to develop games that bridge the gap between family games and geek games,” the company said on its website. It will continue to work with Asmodee for distribution.
