In an interview with Rhode Island television station WPRI 12, Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner says the company will announce a new headquarters location in the next 3 to 6 months. Goldner said Hasbro would like to stay in Rhode Island where it was founded, but moving is an option.
“We all in our hearts love Rhode Island. But we also have a group of shareholders who invest in this company from all over the world, and they want us to make the best possible decision for our employees, our brands and our company,” Goldner told the Rhode Island news channel.
Goldner said the company has been discussing an new headquarters for a couple years. He told WPRI the company is looking to join work forces currently separated in two Rhode Island offices, and build an office that would attract new employees. Roughly 1,600 of Hasbro’s 6,000 employees work in Rhode Island.
