The Chicago Toy and Game Group have launched a special Spring event for its annual Young Inventor Challenge. The competition is a global search for innovative toys and games designed by children ages 6 to 18.
The competition offers winners the chance at licensing deals and prizes. ChiTAG launched the Spring event for kids sheltering at home during the pandemic.
The virtual event is open for registration and will close on June 15. Winners will be announced July 1. There is no fee to enter. Sponsors include Mattel, Magformers, Scholastic, and the American Specialty Retailer Association (ASTRA). Last year’s winners and finalists entered into deals with PlayMonster, Goliath/Pressman and Target.
